Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
- Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and any changes in health status.
- Facilitate social interactions and community engagement for clients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and organized.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance caregiving skills and stay updated on best practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, nursing, social work, senior care, home care, or home health is preferred.
- Knowledge of CPR and first aid is a plus.
- Experience working in a group home setting is advantageous.
- Strong observational skills to monitor patients effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of all clients.
- A caring attitude with a passion for helping others achieve their personal goals.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
