Position Overview
As the People & Culture Manager, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing employee experiences, supporting operational excellence, and fostering a culture of engagement and growth. This role reports to the Vice President of People Operations and partners closely with leadership to implement strategies that prioritize our employees and align with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and negotiating offers.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to create job descriptions and onboarding plans.
- Lead onboarding efforts, ensuring new hires are equipped for success and feel welcome in our workplace.
Corporate Compliance & People Operations
- Draft and implement policies and procedures to support corporate compliance and audit programs.
- Maintain accurate employee records and People databases while adhering to data protection regulations.
- Monitor employee time and attendance, prepare timesheets, and assist with payroll processing.
- Support key HR functions, including completing government/state agency forms and handling audit requests.
Culture & Engagement
- Design and manage corporate culture initiatives, such as employee recognition programs, team-building events, and service awards.
- Collaborate on employee development and mentorship programs to enhance career growth opportunities.
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and resolution while upholding company policies.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with the VP of People Ops to develop and implement People strategies that align with company goals.
- Serve as a backup to the Office Manager for property management and corporate events.
- Provide support for ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, communications or related field (highly preferred).
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification (highly preferred).
- Demonstrated success in driving employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.
- In-depth understanding of labor laws and HR compliance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build trust at all organizational levels.
