Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and food preparation, and be committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions with customers
- Prepare and serve deli products such as sandwiches, pizzas, and hot food items
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils
- Assist customers in selecting deli products and provide information on menu items
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
- Promote special offers and upsell additional items to customers
Qualifications
- Must be able to start shift at 5 a.m.
-Must be able to work every other weekend.
- Previous experience in a deli, café, restaurant, or grocery store setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly manner
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating orders
- Knowledge of POS systems for processing payments efficiently
- Culinary experience or interest in food preparation is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
