ROLE OVERVIEW: 35716914 Environmental Analyst
Consumers Energy Company’s Environmental Services Department (Department) is a team of professionals who provide planning, permitting, operational compliance, policy, and strategic support for electric and natural gas utility operations serving approximately 6 million customers in Michigan.
The Environmental Services’ Land and Water Management Section is seeking an Environmental Analyst to support land and water protection through construction project assessment and natural resource permitting for a variety of utility projects.
SKILLS:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferred 3-5 years.
Established relationships with local, state and federal permitting agencies.
Electric generation / distribution and gas distribution and transmission utility experience.
Strong written, oral, and communication skills.
Ability to plan, prioritize and oversee multiple programs and assignments.
Knowledge required for this position includes the following areas:
Experience with interpreting environmental regulations at the local, state, and federal level to determine applicability and compliance obligations.
Experience in assembling and filing natural resource permits at the local and state level.
Experience in water-related regulations and environmental compliance, including knowledge of Michigan’s natural resource protection regulations (e.g., Michigan Part 91, 301, and 303).
Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) for environmental assessments/evaluations, including ArcOnline tools and ArcDesktop for map making.
EDUCATION:
Education Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant environmental field or discipline
Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)
The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $51-$68/ per hour
