Description:
The Forestry Supervisor will provide comprehensive forestry services to Consumers Energy, including tree inventories, removal specifications, and overseeing contractors. They will develop and implement vegetation management plans, conduct tree risk assessments, and provide public education on tree care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead storm restoration efforts with non-company crews for HVD and LVD systems.
- Cross-train and mentor field team members on forestry best practices.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess tree health, identify potential risks, and recommend solutions.
- Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Provide expert consulting services related to tree risk assessment, inventory, valuation, and removal.
- Oversee contractor crews and monitor schedules, work assignments, and performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Forestry or a related field, with 4 years of experience working with utility companies.
- Or Associate's degree in Forestry or a related field, with 6 years of experience working with utility companies.
- Or High school diploma, with 8 years of experience working with utility companies.
