Essential Functions
- Prepare drawings and create designs using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
- Provide real-time shop floor support for operations from a unique engineering perspective.
- Under the direction of the engineering manager, perform solids modeling of sheet metal parts and assemblies.
- BOM creation and product sourcing.
- Prepare detailed bills of materials in our ERP system.
- Conversion of flat 2D drawings from paper/AutoCAD files to 3D Inventor files.
- Maintain revision control of drawings and maintain control of non-CAD documents of record.
- Lift more than 40 lbs. at times and stand, sit, squat, stoop, or climb stairs as required by the business.
- Must be fluent in AutoCAD Inventor 2020 or later, 2020 edition preferred.
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD Mechanical 2020 or later.
- Must be willing to learn and work in additional CAD systems as required.
- Must be able to effectively read and interpret customer specification packages.
- Strong communication skills written and verbal both internally and externally for the business.
- ANSI Y14.2, Y14.3 & Y14.5 experience.
- Not required, but preferred experience in implementing ASTM/AISI/NQA-1/10 CFR Appendix B requirements per customer guidelines.
- Strong project management skills and flexibility in schedule to support business demand.
- Must be able to work with a cross functional team.
- Fluent in Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office packages (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Self-Driven.
- High attention to detail.
- Not required, but preferred would be experience using lean methodologies.
- 2-year engineering technology degree with 2-4 years of applicable work experience.
- Mechanical drafting experience necessary, electrical drafting experience a plus.
- Prefer 2-4 years of experience, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
