What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead CNC Machinist position at Container Research Corporation?
Container Research Corporation, an AS9100 certified company with over 65 years in business, seeks a Lead CNC Machinist / Programmer. The Lead Machinist will input G&M codes and program, set up, and operate Fadal and HAAS CNC Machining Centers, and set up and run conventional lathes, milling centers, and other machine shop equipment. The Lead Machinist will also train and mentor other machinists in the department on these activities and assist with prioritization and delegation of their work.
The right candidate will have 5 or more years of experience programming and operating CNC machinery. Knowledge of program sequence is required; candidates who can only edit existing programs will not be considered . The candidate will need working knowledge of knee mills, conventional lathes, drills, and all other related machinery, and be able to read a rule, square, protractor, micrometer, tape measure, and other measuring devices. The candidate will also be a strong communicator who is comfortable leading a team.
