We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as a Logistics Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating customer transportation and drayage activities, including scheduling shipments, assigning carriers, and monitoring execution. Your attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data will enable you to provide exceptional service to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound rate requests, prioritizing based on urgency and value
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing carriers, negotiating rates and optimizing routes
- Onboard new carriers, ensuring compliance with regulations and efficient integration into our operations
- Collaborate with internal teams to achieve pricing and carrier capacity objectives, reducing costs and improving transit times
- Monitor shipment status, manage container milestones, and optimize routing to minimize costs and transit times
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable insights for customers
