Overview:
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for providing direct support for all inventory control and warehouse functions including inspection, receiving and shipping needs. The is accomplished by managing the inventory control system, maintaining accurate inventory data, rectifying deviations, reviewing and analyzing information, reporting findings to the appropriate areas, and making recommendations for improvements where needed.
Responsibilities:
- Meets regular and reliable work-site attendance requirements in order to perform the job and meet productivity standards.
- Performs general inventory control tasks, including regular cycle counting of inventory and update the WHSE cycle count spreadsheet in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintains and updates inventory records by accurately entering inventory, receiving and shipping data into the computer system.
- Investigates process deviations, procedural exceptions and nonconforming events that contribute to the root cause of customer complaints.
- Utilizes trend data to develop schedule and incorporate into facility investigations.
- Communicates significant issues related to inventory discrepancies or procedural issues to warehouse management.
- Ensures root cause, corrective action preventative action (CAPA), and product impact are thoroughly addressed in investigations. Develops recommendations for action based on procedural requirements, decision flowcharts, and critical thinking.
- Assists in developing and implementing efficient inventory management procedures to improve operations.
- Manages projects to ensure they are completed within the time schedule as required per quality systems and document investigations results
- Makes recommendations for cost savings and process improvements related to inventory management where appropriate.
- Participates and works within ISO 9001 quality standards guidelines in accordance with Contec’s quality goals

- Operates forklift, order picker and / or pallet-jack to transport materials

High school diploma plus one to three years’ experience in inventory control and shipping and receiving processes. Advanced computer skills (MS Word , Excel) and ERP system experience required.

Steel-toe safety footwear is required while working on the warehouse floor. The employee must be able to read reports, labels and other identifying information.
