What are the responsibilities and job description for the Knitting Operator position at Contec, Inc.?
Inspect the manufacture of EL-MOP string and Auto Tubes, and perform functions to keep knit equipment in production.
Responsibilities
- Production operator will perform inspections of fabric produced on knit equipment.
- Doff product from the machinery and perform functions necessary to keep knit equipment in production which will include creeling and gathering yarn.
- Operator will be responsible for starting and stopping machinery, and including simple repairs to the fabric.
- Working knowledge of IFS system
- Others may be assigned.
Competencies
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position. The employee frequently is required to operate, activate, use, and inspect circular knitting machines. The employee is occasionally required to retrieve and place. The employee must occasionally transport and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.
Qualifications/Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
