Contech Control Services is seeking team-oriented professionals who have expert knowledge of Instrument and Electrical Design, related to Control Systems Projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
The Lead I&E Designer performs a wide range of duties which include some or all of the following : Instrument and Electrical Design Lead for the delivery of large complex control system projects. This includes new installations and modifications to existing systemsLead a team of designers during site surveys to gather information, reconcile, and organizeDevelop or modify the following : cable block diagram, instrument location plans, installation details, wiring drawings, relay logic, loop diagrams, instrument index, P&ID’s, cable schedules, power & grounding, motor schematics, fiber optics, panel schedules, control room layouts, etc.Develop fabrication drawings and Bill of Material for the following : control panels, field junction boxes, power distribution, and othersDevelop Engineering Scope of Work, Construction Scope of Work, Instrument Specifications, Electrical Specifications and ProposalsResponsible for meeting all Client’s drawing and document control requirementsControl System cutover and Electrical startup experienceMaintain and Report to the Project Manager the following : project schedule, weekly progress reports, utilize rules of credit, etc.Coordinate work and execution with other project disciplines, such as : systems configuration, fabrication, field construction, vendors, and sub-contractorsOther duties as assigned
Requirements :
The Lead I&E Designer requirements include, but are not limited to, the following : Associate's degree in Computer Drafting and Design or Engineering Technology. Equivalent experience will be consideredMinimum of 15 years of I / E design experience directly related to the Primary Duties and Responsibilities noted aboveExtensive experience with design associated with control systems (DCS, SIS, PLC, etc.)Knowledge of field instrumentationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in AutoCad and / or MicrostationWorking knowledge of SPI is a plusProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)Familiar with document Management software or equivalent
Working conditions are as follows :
Position Type : Full TimeStandard Hours : Monday – Thursday 7 : 00 am to 5 : 30pmOvertime : OccasionallyTravel : Minimal (up to 25%)
