Overview:
Electrical Estimator for the Midstream group will be responsible for the delivery of cost estimates of Electrical and Instrumentation Installations.
Responsibilities:
- Read scope of work and deliverables needed for RFQ.
- Read and interpret Electrical & Instrument discipline engineering drawings and specifications.
- Provide detailed Electrical & Instrument estimate support for assigned projects.
- Perform detailed Electrical & Instrument estimates for Industrial Construction projects.
- Estimate, solicit, negotiate and finalize prices for materials, supplies and sub-contractors.
- Create proposal for projects to include assumptions & clarifications.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation Estimator experience.
- Team player able to work effectively with other estimators, engineers and project manager.
- Electrical Industry Standards knowledge.
- Excellent written/ verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable with fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and documentation/ procedural skills.
- Must pass a Background and Drug screening.
- Safety and detail focused.
Preferences:
- Electrical estimator experience in petrochemical or industrial plant.
- Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Degree or certifications associated with job role a plus.
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Working conditions are as follows:
- Position Type: Full Time
- Range: Permanent – 90-day Probation
- Travel: Minimal
- Physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs/ladders and safely negotiate areas under construction.
- Officed at any one of Contech Control Services office (La Porte, Oyster Creek, Beaumont, Corpus Christi, etc.)
