About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician at Contech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous operation of our manufacturing equipment. Your responsibilities include:
- Providing technical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and install all plant equipment.
- Accountable for Total Predictive Maintenance (TPM) process.
- Educates, directs, and supports employees in reference to TPM and equipment repair compliance and is responsible for maintenance budget.
- Identifying cost-effective solutions for replacing obsolete components.
- Adjusts repairs or replaces parts, assemblies, and machine equipment.
- Reads and interprets blueprints for repair and installation of equipment.
- Performs welding, burning, brazing, and soldering as required to maintain plant equipment
About You
We Require:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of manufacturing experience. Prior Maintenance experience preferred
- 2 years associates degree or equivalent certifications in a related field preferred
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
- A hands on approach to job tasks, including seeking additional information when necessary
- Independent thinker with the ability to execute job tasks with limited supervision. Motivated to identify root causes and implement long term solutions
- Demonstrates understanding of mechanical/electrical problems and fixes.
- Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or electrical preferred
- Good organizational skills.
- Experience with manufacturing equipment.
- Electrical experience preferred
- PLC experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Good root cause problem solving skills.
- Must be willing to be on call
- Must be willing to work overtime order to finish production repairs and meet critical deadlines
