The Safety Manager helps foster a positive, safe environment for our employees alongside our Operations & Safety Leaders. This position will provide leadership, direction, and support on all Safety matters for assigned operations, branches, and departments. - Recommend changes to protect workers and educate employees on how to prevent accidents, injuries, and health problems using safety training programs and other forms of communication.
- Prepare high-quality safety performance reports for business management teams.
- Assist with project safety planning and job task analysis (JTA) development.
- Develop and implement employee safety education curriculum.
- Collect and review data to expose trends and identify focus areas and underperforming locations or managers.
- Identify potentially dangerous situations, materials, or processes through inspections, research, and education.
- Provide coordination and guidance in response to incidents.
- Review all incident and accident reports for root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions based on these experiences.
- Maintain the appropriate regulatory documentation and records including environmental permits.
- Assist in conducting safety culture assessments.
- Assist in the development and execution of corporate safety initiatives.
- 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of current Health and Safety Regulations Proficient in Microsoft office
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and results oriented ability.
- Ability to travel frequently (50% travel)
- 2 years in a manufacturing EHS or related capacity.
- Ability to speak/understand Spanish
- Associate Safety Professional or ability to obtain certification within 3 years
- Safety certifications are encouraged: OSHA 500, OSHA 510, CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, CIH (Certified Safety Professional, Associate Safety Professional, Construction Safety and Health Technician, Occupational Safety and Health Technician, Certified Industrial Hygienist).
