The position of Case Manager consists of assisting the CEG team in managing the case deadline process for legal matters that have been sent to medical or non-medical experts for their review. This position is critical to ensuring smooth, accurate and timely case management and requires meticulous organizational skills, superior customer service and extreme attention to detail.
- Responsible for the accurate execution of case report deadlines in all CEG cases and ability to handle a portfolio of cases by acting as the point person for external clients and medical experts involved in the matter.
- Assist medical experts with deadline reminders and coordinate case commitments working closely with client’s legal staff and expert’s medical staff to arrive at acceptable commitment dates.
- Requesting and process all medical records, legal documents and imaging received for an expert review along with additional medical records and/or imaging that is received throughout the life of the matter. Ensure timely delivery of all case documents to expert. This includes maintaining electronic and hard copy records on the server and file room.
- Correspond with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, doctors, nurses and doctor’s assistants to ensure timeliness of required deliverables.
- Provide outstanding interpersonal skills and deliver high-impact, high-empathy customer service. This role is essential to building long-term customer loyalty and representing our brand with integrity and excellence.
- Utilize proprietary case management software to document all deadline-related events and actions and correspondence with all parties of the matter.
- Pay attention to case and doctor schedules and the CEG master calendar, including monitoring of case milestones: expert analysis, expert reporting, depositions, independent medical examinations and trial appearances.
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager to assist in prioritization of case related tasks.
- Report closed cases to accounting, CEG personnel and experts to properly and legally dispose of cases.
- Assist in the case intake process and full participation in any Company marketing or advertising initiatives.
- Act as “the face” of the company for new and current clients by being professional, friendly, knowledgeable and ready to solve problems.
- Full-time and in-person at San Antonio office.

Preferred Experience
- Legal Assistant/Paralegal/Medical Assistant experience
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Familiarity with medical and legal terminology
- Comply with all Company policies & procedures
- HIPAA certification (can be provided once hired)

Salary range is dependent on experience
