Contemporaries Inc. is a government contracting firm working with the National Institutes of Health to hire a Scientific Program Manager to work on a long-term government contract (5 years). The main function of this position will be to evaluate, oversee, coordinate, and assist with a fellowship program. Fitting candidates should have at least 3 years of related experience and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences or a related concentration. This is a full-time (40 hours a week) located on main campus in Bethesda, MD.
Duties :
- Provide technical knowledge and support in developing and evaluating the fellowship program, establishing a process and procedure, and maintaining files.
- Produces various detailed reports for use by upper management.
- Evaluate, develop, and implement the fellowship program, including the maintenance of files and documents; assess process and procedures and recommend improvements where needed.
- Analyze, develops and implements new recruiting processes, and a variety of training programs.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the program to ensure it is meeting the organization's overall objectives.
- Promotes fellowship program to education institutions, universities and candidates.
- Conducts meetings and trains staff on various aspects of the fellowship program.
- Create and maintain working database.
- Prepare program brochures, websites, applications, orientation documents and regulatory submissions.
- Maintain files for fellows' progress on research milestones and meetings with mentoring committees.
- Develop education materials to assist students throughout their training programs.
- Support program staff on every aspect of the training program, research training for fellows and related activities dependent on training program.
- Establish and maintain database of all intramural Research Training Fellowship Awards to promising investigators.
- Perform analysis of existing program databases.
- Research resources, services, policies and regulations and inform the staff and fellows about all changes in policies and procedures.
- Prepare promotional materials for meeting exhibits and presentations, special events, and other events.
- Work with staff on advertising for fellows by posting on websites, and Twitter pages.
