- Clean and maintain common areas including hallways, stairways, lobbies, elevators, laundry rooms, and restrooms.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in common areas.
- Empty trash and recycling bins in all common areas and apartment units as needed.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces throughout common areas.
- Ensure all restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies and kept sanitary.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
- Assist with special cleaning projects, such as deep cleaning or post-construction clean-ups.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed.
- Assist in the turnover of vacant units by cleaning and preparing them for new tenants.
Exterior Responsibilities:
- Use blower to maintain cleanliness of parking lots, sidewalks, and entryways.
- Empty and clean pet waste stations
- Clean ground level exterior windows and glass surfaces, including entrance doors.
- Remove trash and debris from outdoor areas, including lawns, courtyards, and parking areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of building exteriors, ensuring no litter or unsightly areas.
- Ensure that outdoor lighting and signage are clean and well-maintained.
- Occasionally assist with seasonal cleaning tasks.
- Report any exterior maintenance needs or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Candidates selected for employment will be required to undergo a drug screening as part of the hiring process.
- Must be able to lift to 25 pounds
