Medical Laboratory Scientist Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking several Medical Laboratory Scientists to join our client for an opportunity in Farmingdale, NY! As the Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for supporting clinical research through specialized laboratory testing in Chemistry, Hematology, or Immunology. This direct hire role offers $33-59 / hour depending on experience! Responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Scientist Include : Operate laboratory equipment according to established procedures and perform maintenance and quality control. Conduct equipment checks, performance testing, and preventive maintenance as assigned. Ensure test accuracy by adhering to Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures. Document assay tracking and test results comprehensively for review and reporting. Perform proficiency testing within assigned laboratory sections to maintain standards. Qualifications : NYS license as a Medical Laboratory Scientist required; ASCP certification and a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field preferred. Minimum of 6 months of experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting with strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and quality control procedures. Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative environment.
