Job Title: Formulations Pharmacist
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Formulations Pharmacist to join our client and play a vital role in supporting product research and development. This onsite, permanent/direct-hire position, based in Albany, OH, focuses on pharmaceutical formulation development, analytical support, and technical services in alignment with regulatory standards.
Compensation:
- $120,000-$125,000 annually
Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday in Albany, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities of the Formulations Pharmacist:
- Collaborate with Operations to develop new drug formulations that address clinical needs
- Create, manage, and respond to change controls affecting product formulation and stability
- Document technical product information to support various departments including Quality, Customer Service, and Marketing
- Design and execute stability studies and generate corresponding protocols and reports
- Investigate deviations, implement corrective actions, and assist in annual product reviews
- Coordinate feasibility studies and monitor R&D study progress
- Act as liaison for director-level and corporate stakeholders on research projects
- Draft product development protocols and summarize findings for internal and external use
- Conduct bench studies, test method development, and investigations related to out-of-specification (OOS) laboratory results
Qualifications and Skills for the Formulations Pharmacist:
- Bachelor's or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy (BS or Pharm.D.)
- Active OH pharmacist license and willingness to obtain licensure in additional states
- 1–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation
- Proven experience designing and executing product characterization and optimization studies
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines including 21 CFR 210 & 211, USP 795/797/800, ICH Q1A(R2)/Q1D, and 503B Guidance
- Proficient in chemistry analysis related to stability studies
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- Positive, professional attitude and strong problem-solving skills
