Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is a national provider of workforce management solutions, providing contract, temporary, temporary-to-hire & direct hire solutions to clients in all industries across the country.
The Payroll & Billing Administrator will compile and record employee time and payroll data for our weekly payroll, as well as act as administrative support for company’s back-office. A successful candidate should be detail oriented, and skilled in mathematics, communication and time management. Must work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Accounting hotline & payroll email inbox, resolving issues as they arise and/or escalating Managing to appropriate stakeholders and management
- Assist Payroll Supervisor in full payroll process
- Manage missing timecards on a weekly basis
- Review all batch entries for accuracy
- Compile and batch employee time
- Assist in weekly payroll tax setup
- Complete employment verifications – via fax, phone & email.
- Review FTP importing site daily and analyze any rejections
- Manage check transfer list and duplicate check report
- Create and distribute reports to business units and field offices
- Complete candidate maintenance file monthly
- Assist in garnishment process
- Assist with managing contract files in Corporate office and on network drive
- Assist with weekly & monthly billing
- Own, lead and improve the drug, credit & background bill-backs to clients.
- Perform special projects as needed by Payroll Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred but not required
- Experience with ADP and / or Great Plains a plus
- Familiar with business administration concepts, practices and procedures
- 2-4 years of experience in a payroll position
- Exceptional communication skills, initiative, and ability to multi-task, prioritize, & manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive material
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as an active member of a team
- Proven ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, vendors and employees
This role will require to be onsite in our Moorestown, NJ office 2 days/week.
