What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bike Assembler/Service Technician position at Contender Bicycles?

Well look no further, Contender Bicycles, a full service bicycle shop in the heart of Salt Lake City with a sister location in Park City and an ever growing online footprint, might be the place for you. We are currently looking for energetic and experienced bike assemblers ready to be value added members of the Contender team. Applicants must be ready to bring all their experience to the table on day one to help meet the challenges that come with aggressive growth and face adversity with honesty, integrity and enthusiasm.
Please note: Prior experience as a technician is required either as a bicycle, moto, car, etc technician.

Responsibilities
- Building and boxing new bicycles
- Complete maintenance paperwork properly
- Maintain stock and inventory of Service Department
- Work with the service department to maintain a clean and organized shop
- Assist sales staff in preparing bicycles for customers to test ride or post-purchase service
- Greet, welcome and assist customers at the shop in a friendly manner
- Help fostering an excitement for cycling with customers
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must pass post-offer, pre-employment background check
- Have a proven history of being reliable, hard worker
- Ability to work independently as well as part of the team
- Great communication skills
- Technical aptitude
- Positive attitude, a willingness to learn new things, and a passion for cycling
- Problem solve and troubleshoot assembly/boxing issues in an efficient manner
- Computer Skills: effectively learn point of sale system
- Previous experience with is required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
