Incorp Industries is currently seeking a Bilingual Scaffold Leadman (Spanish/English) to be based out of our Attapulgus, GA. Incorp Industries provides scaffold, industrial insulation, sheet metal, asbestos abatement, industrial lead removal, abrasive blasting, and coatings services to industrial contractors and owner clients in the power generation, petrochemical, grain, pulp and paper, mining, and manufacturing industries.
The Scaffold Leadman is responsible for leading the scaffolding crew in the assembly, installation, and disassembly of scaffolding systems in support of industrial construction and maintenance projects. This role requires a high degree of safety awareness, physical strength, and knowledge of scaffold design and regulations. Scaffold Leadman works closely with the Site Supervisor, Project Manager, and Safety Manager to ensure scaffolds are safe, secure, and compliant with all relevant standards.
Key Requirements
- Supervise and lead a team of scaffold builders, assign tasks and provide guidance.
- Plan and prepare scaffolds in accordance with project requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure scaffolds are erected and dismantled in a safe and timely manner.
- Monitor and maintain scaffold inventory, ordering materials as needed.
- Train new scaffold builders and provide ongoing training for existing team members.
- Examines, selects, and gathers materials and tools.
- Examines drawings and specifications to determine dimensions of structure.
- Inspect base surface for obstructions.
- Loads, transports, and unloads material.
- Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment.
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
Experience
- Previous experience as a scaffold leadman or 2-3 years of scaffolding experience. On-the-job training provided.
Skills and Certifications
- OSHA 10 required
Physical Demands
- Standing: 90% of time standing or walking
- Lifting: Ability to lift an average of 25-50 pounds consistently.
- Reaching, Bending, and Crawling: Frequent and occurs daily.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week.
- Periodic weekend and after-hours availability
