Job Summary
Incorp Industries is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to be based out of our Evansville, IN office. Incorp Industries provides scaffold, industrial insulation, sheet metal, asbestos abatement, industrial lead removal, abrasive blasting, and coatings services to industrial contractors and owner clients in the power generation, petrochemical, grain, pulp and paper, mining, and manufacturing industries.
The Staff Accountant responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting and audits. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles. Successful candidates should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, have excellent time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, general ledger reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Process accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor cash flow and bank reconciliations.
- Assist with financial audits
- Support tax filings, including sales tax and corporate tax compliance.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Viewpoint, Corpay, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Periodic weekend and after-hours availability
