The Role
We are looking for an Enterprise Sales Engineer who excels in using advanced technology to drive business transformation. In this customer-facing role, you will collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to lead discussions that promote the growth and digital transformation of enterprise clients. You will design and architect solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives. Success in this role requires technical expertise and business acumen to address business challenges, develop tailored solutions, and present them to key stakeholders.
You will analyze customer requirements, apply industry best practices, and deliver solutions that solve specific business needs, becoming a trusted advisor who demonstrates how our offerings support digital initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Lead customer meetings, both in-person and virtually. Deliver technical presentations and proposals that focus on customer goals, providing expert technical responses and demonstrating solution-selling skills.
- Solution Design: Conduct discovery to understand customer needs and architect solutions that meet requirements, leveraging our product portfolio.
- Training and Consultation: Advise customers, sales teams, and customer success on product features, availability, and best-fit solutions.
- Thought Leadership: Provide feedback to product management, sales, and customer success teams, sharing customer insights and improvement ideas.
- Advocacy and Pre-Sales Support: Act as a customer advocate by participating in technical sales presentations, proof-of-concept engagements, and RFP responses. Present solutions aligned with customer technology roadmaps.
- Partnership Across the Lifecycle: Work with local sales teams and internal stakeholders to address customer data lifecycle needs and build credibility through collaboration.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in pre-sales engineering, consulting, or a similar technical role.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and design, with knowledge in areas like network infrastructure, cloud services, and security.
- Communication Skills: Ability to lead technical workshops and engage IT stakeholders and executives.
- Sales Acumen: Proven experience in collaborative discussions with sales, product, and customer success teams to deliver solutions.
- Problem-Solving: Strong skills in turning ambiguous needs into actionable solutions, with creativity in solution development.
- Teamwork and Independence: Able to work both independently and with teams to develop solutions, communicate technical details effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Presentation Skills: Skilled in presenting solutions to technical and business audiences.
- Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Industry certifications in specialized technologies.
- Experience with Ethernet, Cloud, UCaaS, and Security solutions.
Travel: Some travel required.
