Summary :
The Senior Applications Administrator supports the implementation, configuration, provisioning, security and maintenance of Contexture's business applications. This role develops, tests, analyzes, and maintains software applications in support of Contexture's business objectives. Participates in the design configuration, problem diagnosis, maintenance, and implementation of application systems. Validates system functionality after changes. Participates in testing and installing new software releases and application system upgrades. Analyzes, monitors, and fine-tunes the application system to achieve optimum performance levels. Works with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues with hardware and software. Participates with application system problem resolution by working with application developers, vendors, and internal team members to troubleshoot. Provide inputs into the business application road map and work with Manager, Business Application Management to set priorities.
This position is based in Phoenix Arizona, Denver or Grand Junction Colorado and requires local residency. Our strategic flexibility allows for local work from home opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
- Act as owner and primary administrator of assigned business application(s)
- Maintains several complex business applications including, implementations, configurations, security settings, updates and patches, user authentication, management, and provisioning
- Monitors and troubleshoots capacity, performance and availability issues in the assigned environment(s) involving but no limited to : Salesforce, Atlassian Jira, Microsoft Dynamics, 365 Application Suite, SharePoint, Could Coach, and Tableau
- Work with all levels of internal staff and vendors to analyze current operational procedures, identify and escalate issues and create effective resolutions
- Coordinates and partners with vendors to resolve application functionality changes and resolve problems. Opens and maintains vendor tickets
- Identifies and drives creation of best practices and organizational standards for administering and securing application(s)
- Leverages innovative thinking and creative approaches to help customers envision and define strategic system designs in order to meet established requirements
- Architect the application(s) to meet business needs. Establish integration with other applications as needed
- Propose and implement / lead job automation using scripts and other tools
- Implement solutions to meet or improve specific customer or business needs
- Research, evaluate and provide guidance in the selection of third-party applications
- Analyze, configure, document, implement and support third-party applications
- Analyze application incidents to identify root cause. Work closely with vendor's product support team to implement solutions
- Ensure successful testing and validation of vendor-provided upgrades and patches
- Monitor license usage and budgeting for licensing costs. Provide forecast on anticipated needs during budget cycle
- Uses independent judgment and technical expertise to identify, document, and report issues with design, reliability, security or maintenance
- Process change requests for modifications to the application configuration
- Provide timely and accurate status reporting to leadership and users, and escalates effectively when issues arise
- Collaborate and work with IT Services, technical staff, and vendors to identify and resolve critical system issues to minimize impact to business operations
- Evaluates and ensures the performance and reliability of the applications by monitoring for high availability, load balancing, and satisfactory response time
- Interface with the software vendors for any application bug resolution or application maintenance issues
- Configure, build, develop and deploy required fixes and enhancements on Atlassian Jira and / or Tableau platforms
- After hours work may be necessary to support after hours deployments, changes, or major incident response
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills
Education / Experience
Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business Application Administrator performing implementation, configuration, upgrading, monitoring, debugging, tuning and capacity planning. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another related field with equivalent IT experience. Administration experience with business applications such as Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, Tableau, Atlassian Jira and / or Salesforce preferred.
