Under limited supervision, receives, verifies and records incoming claim data.JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Enters loss information into appropriate claims application.
Reviews and evaluates the incoming loss documents for complete and accurate information.
Receives first notice of loss, reviews and/or locates policies, validates coverage applied to claim to determine appropriate line of business and loss type.
Remains externally focused when receiving claim reports and information inquiries from internal and external (insured, broker, vendor) business partners and researches, then provides response.
Reviews applicable systems to determine presence of duplicate claims.
Is accountable for validating and locating missing policy information prior to entering default information.
Collaborates with adjusters in reviewing special handling instructions for claims routing.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
1. Strong typing (accuracy and speed) and data entry skills.
2. Strong attention to detail.
3. Good verbal and written communication skills.
4. Good organizational and follow-up skills
5. Good listening and customer service skills.
6. Ability to receive and make phone calls in courteous approach and manner.
7. Ability to work independently and to work effectively in a high volume environment.
8. Ability to work with other teams in a call center environment.
9. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business related software.
Education and Experience
1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
2. Typically a minimum six months to one year typing, data entry, or call center experience preferred.

In certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $35,000 to $65,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
