SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for managing all fluid cream and condensed skim sales and procurement for the company. Supports the Marketing department with sales functions across all commodities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor market trends for cream and make decisions to optimize sales and/or churning.
- Conduct weekly spot sales negotiations for cream.
- Communicate Bills of Lading and Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for fluid commodities to customers.
- Oversee settlements for fluid commodities and coordinate with customers on any loads that fall out of variance.
- Manage spot purchasing of cream and condensed skim for each facility.
- Ensure contracts are being met on a weekly basis.
- Collaborate closely with logistics for liquid procurement and liquid sales.
- Communicates weekly fluid sales with production to prepare weekly production schedule.
- Oversee daily schedule changes for cream and condensed products.
- Prepare daily powder orders for the warehouse.
- Manages weekly packaging schedules for powder.
- Assist with weekly product sales.
- Manage truck detention, freight charges, and truck washes to ensure accurate billing.
- Track and publish monthly reports on day-to-day operations.
- Provide customer service, including handling delays, updates, and changes.
- Perform other administrative duties or projects as required or assigned.
- Ensure confidentiality and discreet handling of all business matters.
- Adhere to all company safety, work, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules.
- Support a company culture of continuous improvement by participating in effiency and improvement efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people are essential.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including excel spreadsheet applications is required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
