We're looking for an Inside Sales Rep. to support outside sales by creating proposals for existing direct customer inquiries as well as new opportunities as uncovered by the outside sales team. This position will also assist in the follow up of proposals to close sales and the processing of the orders through the ERP system.
Essential functions include:
- Act as a resource for customers and manufacturers’ reps, providing customer service and technical support in an effective, timely and pleasant manner
- Receive customer inquiries and review specifications, drawings and requirements to prepare quotations
- Follow up on open quotes and other activities in a timely manner and report to Inside Sales Manager
- Act as a liaison between engineering / estimating and sales team in an effort to complete the sales process
- Work with Regional Sales Managers and other CDC team members to maintain up-to-date information regarding status of customer activities in order to effectively serve customers
- Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need
- Minimal travel may be required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical.
- Ability to read basic submittal drawings
- Proficient using Microsoft Windows and Office products such as Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and maintain rapport with internal and external customers
- Willingness and ability to follow all company policies and procedures
- Attention to detail
- Concern for quality, accuracy and safety
- Ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others, including peers, supervisors, executive management and outside vendors, representatives and visitors when called upon
