What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior RF Systems Engineer position at Continental Electronics Corporation?
The Senior RF Systems Engineer will participate in and demonstrate proficiency in electrical engineering subjects such as RF, digital, and analog design. This is an individual contributor role in which the engineer is part of a cohesive team of engineers responsible for communications products for global customers. We are looking for an RF Engineer who appreciates working with engineering & production in a growing, positive work environment.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
To provide technical initiative in all phases of product development for high power RF systems by performing the following functions :
Devise the initial concept of the assigned device, component or system, and participate in the overall detailed product design
Assume minor project responsibility and carry it through various stages of development per established schedule as required
Ensures that all documentation is accomplished and in proper form
Assists engineering management in developing proposals for new technical programs which will lead to new or improved products
Maintains a high level of technical competence and state-of-the-art awareness
REQUIREMENTS
At least 10 years of corporate Systems Engineering experience
Strong RF fundamentals such as impedance matching, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth and stability
Must be able to create schematics and wire lists
Excellent circuit simulation skills utilizing Spice or other simulation tools
Problem-solving and lab debugging skills
Hands-on experience in RF tuning and using RF instruments
US citizenship, due to government contracts
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics, plus four (8) years related experience preferred. Otherwise, an equivalent combination of relevant technical education and experience.
