Your Role:
The Actuarial Analyst will be assigned to a line of business or unit for analyzing loss and expense reserves or premium rates. The individual will maintain eligibility in the Actuarial Student Program and be working toward eventual attainment of Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries.
Responsibilities:
Maintains and validates actuarial models
May perform research, experience studies and other statistical analyses
Maintains documentation of actuarial analysis.
Demonstrates proficiency with advanced Excel techniques and programming
Works with large data sets
Perform work on multiple projects simultaneously
Develop a strong network of internal partners, peers and mentors
Builds working knowledge of company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline
1 to 3 years of related experience; insurance experience preferred
Ability to perform work under general supervision, and familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
Ability to work within specific limits and authority on assignments of simple to moderate technical complexity.
Must have passed at least two actuarial exams towards Associateship in the CAS or SOA
Strong mathematical background
Minimum or better 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communications
