CDL Truck Driver - Heavy Haul - Port Saint Lucie, FL
The primary responsibilities of this position are to safely and securely load, haul, and unload heavy construction equipment to and from specified destinations. Must have experience pulling a lowboy and oversized equipment. We haul multiple excavators, dozers, loaders, and many other types of construction equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Valid and current Class A CDL
- Ability to operate both Automatic and Manual transmission trucks
- Must have 2 years of verifiable Tractor-trailer driving experience
- Ability to meet all DOT requirements
- Ensure safety and compliance of load
- Maintain DOT driver log (ELD) and other required transport documentation
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
- Pre/Post Inspections
- Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test
Preferred Experience:
- Operating trucks requiring a CDL Class A license (e.g., driving forwards, driving backwards, maneuvering in tight spaces, dropping and hooking, operating landing gear and/or air bags, or backing confined spaces, etc.)
- Hauling construction materials and/or equipment (e.g., transporting unstable loads or hauling different weights on different trip segments, etc.)
- Operating a tractor-trailer in different conditions (e.g., highway driving, side/local roads, city/country, maneuvering in tight spaces, etc.)
