Continental Manufacturing Chemist is a contract manufacturer specializing in personal care products. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packaging Line Operator to join our team at the Huxley, IA facility on the 2nd shift.
The Packaging Line Operator plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations of the packaging filling line. This individual will oversee equipment setup, supply materials, and assist with general packaging responsibilities to meet production targets. This is a hands-on role requiring proactive problem-solving, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all required components are prepared and available for production.
- Set up packaging equipment and ancillary components to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
- Follow the Chemical Hygiene Plan and FDA Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Lead sanitization of packaging equipment and maintain accurate documentation.
- Maintain good housekeeping and contribute to production scheduling decisions.
- Conduct inspections of machinery to identify maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of production, downtime, and inventory.
- Enforce safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Identify and implement process improvements to boost productivity.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of packaging equipment and machinery is preferred.
- Familiarity with quality control processes is a plus.
