Continental Manufacturing Chemist is seeking a Lab Technician to support our Quality team. This role is vital in executing stability studies to ensure our products’ quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards over time. The Stability Technician will work closely with Quality Assurance, Regulatory, and Product Development teams to monitor and analyze product consistency, safety, and shelf-life.
The Stability Technician will work to support our 2nd Shift Compounding team, which runs Monday - Thursday, 2:30pm to 1:00am. (Some flexibility for this role may be permitted)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct stability studies per standard operating procedures (SOPs), protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor and record environmental conditions in stability chambers, ensuring compliance with ICH guidelines.
- Prepare, label, and manage stability samples, coordinating with laboratory staff for timely analysis.
- Analyze stability data, maintaining accurate records to identify trends and deviations.
- Develop and revise SOPs and protocols related to stability testing and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain inventory of stability samples with detailed record-keeping.
- Calibrate, maintain, and verify stability chambers and laboratory equipment routinely.
- Prepare stability summaries for regulatory submissions and audits.
- Assist the R&D Chemist as needed, including preparing stability batches.
- Maintain lab cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in a science-related field or equivalent work experience. Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of laboratory experience preferred, ideally in a stability testing role within a cGMP-compliant facility.
- Familiarity with GMP, GDL, and ISO standards is a plus.
Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and environmental monitoring; familiarity with regulatory guidelines (ICH, EPA, FDA, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail with experience in GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
- Effective project management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for accurate documentation.
- Comfortable working within a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals and laboratory equipment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends as required.
