Job Summary
Journey-level Landman position requiring moderate supervision, a strong proactive approach with the utmost degree of independence, professionalism, and dependability with strong leadership, negotiating, communication, organizational and attention to detail skills, and a comprehensive understanding of land, legal, and oil & gas industry principles, processes and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for conducting all land work including obtaining and evaluating land data (i.e., records, titles, abstracts, etc.) on the availability of land and/or leases for acquisition, development, and/or divestiture.
- Secures the examinations of titles, resolves defects, and settles damage claims.
- May also be responsible for making recommendations on dry hole contributions, farm-ins, farm-outs, and other exploration activities, as well as maintaining producing leases and co-owner relationships.
- Proficient in all aspects of land management.
- Demonstrated negotiating skills and ability to assist in developing leasing strategies.
- Fully competent to perform standard job tasks.
- Requires a solid understanding of standard principles.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Land Management, Energy Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Landman.
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
