Job Summary: The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing and performing technical repairs on siding, windows, and doors, both in the field and at the facility. This role requires strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex repair issues while providing clear explanations to customers. The Service Technician will also play a key role in training and mentoring new and existing technicians and installation crews, ensuring adherence to quality standards and company procedures.
Salary: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday-Friday, 7 am - 4 pm or until job duties are completed

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair difficult-to-identify service issues efficiently.
- Clearly explain installation, diagnostic, and repair processes to customers in non-technical terms.
- Repair damaged siding, windows, and doors in customer homes.
- Respond promptly to service requests and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Train newly hired and existing Service Technicians and Installation Crews on procedures and quality standards.
- Develop and deliver structured training programs to support company service initiatives.
- Provide ongoing coaching and real-time feedback to improve service quality and performance.
- Update and enhance training materials to align with department needs and company expectations.
- Evaluate service quality through phone, email, chat, and in-field observations based on company guidelines.
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- 2 to 3 years of experience as a service technician
- 2 years of experience as a trainer, training specialist or related position
- Strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the windows and siding industry
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems based on the customers’ non-technical descriptions
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
Experience:
- Siding: 1 year (Required)
- Service technician experience: 2 years (Required)
- License/Certification: Driver's License (Required)
