What are the responsibilities and job description for the Escrow Disburser position at Continental Title Company?
Continental Title Company is a thriving business that has been providing outstanding search, examination and closing services for the real estate industry since 2001. The company is currently in search of an Escrow Disburser to add to our team of professionals located in Lee's Summit, MO. We’re looking for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast paced, friendly, team oriented environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Order all necessary information for upcoming closing
- Obtain and review all documents
- Maintains accuracy of the files throughout the closing process
- Inform appropriate parties if additional documentation or action is necessary
- Complete necessary calculations inclusive of prorating taxes and interest
- Amend HUD by utilizing lender instructions and other applicable documentation as necessary
- Ensure file is properly balanced and reconcile any differences with Closer and/or Accounting Department
- Review the final approved HUD in comparison to deposits and payables in internal system to ensure accurate disbursement of figures disclosed to the borrower.
- Deposit funds in escrow account and maintain necessary records in compliance with escrow laws
- Disburse checks and wires to appropriate payees
- All other duties as assigned
Required qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
- Work cooperatively and interact professionally with others
- Ability to work independently
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment, while maintaining attention to detail
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing tasks, organization, and self-motivation
- Demonstrated time management and efficiency skills
