Job Description
This position is accountable for leading, managing, and providing direction to the production processes at the Lincoln, NE facility. One major function of this position is to manage production operators to ensure achievement of production goals.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment by complying with corporate and governmental regulations as well as lean principles.
- Employee Relations skills are essential in this position; to be able to develop and maintain relationships with hourly and salary associates.
- Provide hourly performance feedback, developmental strategies, and coaching and ensure training needs are met.
- Support multiple departments and troubleshoot production issues across all shifts and production lines.
- Participate in problem-solving events and improvement projects.
- Ensure all associates are working to meet the organization’s metrics around safety, quality, delivery and cost.
- Perform audits on work rules, 6S, standard work and other plant objectives. Work with the operations manager to forecast staffing needs.
- Reports to the Operations Manager.
- Other duties as directed.
