YOUR TASKS
The team lead plays a critical role in overseeing tire build operations, ensuring production standards are met, while fostering a positive and productive environment. The team lead is responsible for supporting operators during break periods, troubleshooting issues, maintaining standards, and representing leadership through example.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Operator Relief & Support : Relieve tire build operators by running a machine during their breaks, ensuring production continuity.Assist with minor machine setups, including drum changes, segment adjustments for size changes, and die changes.Stabilize splice and alignment through machine adjustments to maintain production standards.
- Upholding Standards & Leadership : Lead by example in maintaining production quality, efficiency, and safety standards.Display a positive attitude and act as a role model for team members, ensuring adherence to established processes and expectations.Represent leadership with integrity and reliability, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Material & Process Management : Ensure materials are available at machines and manage inventory for smooth operation.Assist with inventory checks and non-conforming material clean-up, ensuring materials meet production requirements.Verify and adjust recipe changes and working data to maintain process consistency.
- Mentorship & Team Development : Mentor and train new and existing team members on machine operation, safety, and process standards.Support supervision by assigning technical tasks and entering work orders as required.Foster a collaborative and cohesive team environment, promoting teamwork and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Follow all plant, ESH, CBS, quality, and department processes and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
