What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Excellence Specialist Entry Level Training Program - Illinois position at Continental?
Expectations include lifting and carrying 50 75 lbs. standing on your feet for 812 hours per shift exposure to heat and dust frequent reaching bending stooping pulling and overhead work. Operating machinery hand tools and power tools.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED
- 01 year of manufacturing experience needed
- No relocation assistance is offered for this position
- Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes.
- New Hires will start their 4week training program on a shift that includes days and afternoons. After completion new hires will then likely be placed on a shift that includes evenings and weekends.
- The job is within a nonclimate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot / cold) dust forklift and pedestrian traffic and noise.
- The role involves various physical tasks including lifting bending stooping pushing pulling and operating machinery with comprehensive training provided.

- The hourly rate for this position is $19.85 per hour for 4weeks. After completion of the training program the hourly wage will increase to an hourly rate within a rate of $20.67 $29.23 per hour depending upon position placement.
- This position is also eligible for a quarterly incentive program.
- This role will be eligible for shift differential which is added onto your hourly rate. The additional shift differential is $0.20 per hour for evening shifts $0.40 per hour for overnight shifts and $1.00 per hour for weekend shifts.
- Pay rate is based upon candidate skills experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.
