Project Intern will be working on :
Mapping of Yarn Physical Properties
Project Description and Objective (Include what the Intern will be learning) :
The project involves working with the Lab Development Unit (LDU) and Minitab to develop non-linear contour maps for all yarns produced at Aldora Mills. This will include approximately 40 runs on the LDU, followed by analysis and the creation of visual templates for each yarn using Minitab. The objective is to enhance product understanding and visualization through data-driven mapping.
The intern will gain hands-on experience in product development, data analysis, and visualization techniques. This role provides exposure to industry tools like Minitab, practical lab operations, and the broader processes involved in product engineering within a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Outcome of Project (Goals of what the intern should accomplish) :
The goal of the project is for the intern to create contour maps for all major yarns used in Aldora Mills' active production lines. Through this process, the intern will gain proficiency in using Minitab to conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) analyses. The expected outcome is a significant reduction in fabric development time for the tire industry, streamlining product industrialization and cutting the typical development timeline by more than half.
