GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under supervision, the research student will be provided with the opportunity to be mentored by professionals in their chosen research field, to become familiar with the use of state of the art scientific equipment and technology, and to learn valuable interpersonal and presentation skills. The goal to expose aspiring researchers and clinicians to exciting advances in biomedical sciences that will help define their career paths.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proof of enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program.
- Highly motivated and organized. Required the manual dexterity to operate complex equipment.
- This is a position to help researchers manage budgets and forecasting for NIH and pharmaceutical grants, ordering, and manage the overall program for the research team.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Some previous research experience preferred
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Comfortable reading scientific literature
- Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel. Experience with SPSS is a plus.
- High personal motivation and attention to detail; ability to independently manage tasks and meet
- deadlines without direct supervision
