What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Mgmt Coor position at ContinueCare Hospital at Baptist HealthP?
Demonstrates and understands the importance of and respect for the rights, dignity and individuality of each patient in all interactions. Initiate purchase orders for requisitioned supplies by identifying potential cost-saving areas and soliciting bids accordingly and evaluates market trends. Responsible for all facets of inventory control including taking periodic inventories and maintaining stock records. Receives, stores and issues materials, supplies and equipment as needed. Review bids for the best price, availability of stock, length of price negotiation, vendor service, and reputation and makes subsequent recommendation to CEO. Support and participate in group purchasing and shared services and document any variances in purchasing practices. Initiate discussions with the management team members and outside vendors of choice to ensure that value, quality, product specifications, and cost-containment goals of the hospital are met.
Experience preferred but not required. Other duties as to be assigned not related to Materials Management by supervisor
