Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with behavioral and academic challenges, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role is crucial in providing support and care to enhance the quality of life for our clients while ensuring compliance with medical standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and document client progress, including maintaining accurate medical records.
- Provide direct patient care, assisting clients in daily activities and promoting independence.
- Administer medication as prescribed while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to develop strategies that support clients' needs.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Basic concepts of child growth and development and developmental behavior characteristics, particularly pertaining to pupils with special learning needs.
- Behavior management strategies and techniques relating to children experiencing behavioral difficulties.
- Positive behavioral interventions and applied behavior analysis.
- Demonstrate an understanding, patient, and receptive attitude toward students of varied age groups, and varied disabilities.
- Appropriately manage student behavior and guide students toward more acceptable social behaviors.
- Implement positive behavior support plans.
- Model appropriate behavioral interventions.

Experience
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Experience in applied behavior analysis or related fields is a plus.
- Skills in student care, including medication administration, are highly desirable.
