Behavior Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with students to implement behavior intervention plans and support their overall well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral health practices and the ability to assess and document patient progress while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by a licensed professional.
• Conduct patient assessments to monitor progress and adapt strategies as necessary.
• Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide support and education on behavioral techniques.
• Engage with children and individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings, promoting positive behaviors and skill development.
• Document observations and report any changes in behavior or condition to the supervising clinician.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills related to working with individuals on the autism spectrum or other disabilities.

Experience

• Experience working with children or individuals with autism is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and behavioral health practices is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient assessment techniques and medical record management is essential.
• Previous experience working with people who have developmental disabilities or other disabilities is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and patience are critical for success in this role.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
