The Intensive In-Home Qualified Professional works as part of a three-person team families to plan, coordinate, and monitor services through the provision of direct and indirect services to eligible consumers. Intensive In-Home service recipients must meet medical necessity criteria and may be seriously emotionally disturbed, have aggressive behaviors, have mental illness, or have substance abuse issues. Persons employed in these positions work together with the team lead to develop the person-centered plan. As such, they must be knowledgeable of the child's mental health population, able to plan and engage in activities, and provide supportive counseling, and crisis management. This position requires the ability to work in a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families to gain the skills and confidence to address any issues and problems they face. They are required to attend and participate in meetings on behalf of the consumer, participate in weekly supervisory meetings with the team, and participate in clinical training events and meetings as required by the Clinical Director and/or Medical Director.
The Intensive In-Home Qualified Professional is paid on a production model. Persons in this position report to the Intensive In-Home Lead Therapist and must participate in supervision with the other team members and are required to meet daily and weekly productivity requirements. Individuals in this position are expected to be on-call 24 hours a day for crisis response.
Persons in this position are required, at a minimum, to have a four-year degree in a human service field and two years of experience with the mental health population. Persons with a non-human service degree may be considered if they have 4 years of mental health experience. At least one year of the Qualified Professional's experience must be with children/adolescents. Staff with higher levels of credentials may fulfill this job position.
