Continuum Powders is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to play a critical role in optimizing, maintaining and improving the production processes related to the manufacturing of metal powders for the Additive Manufacturing industry. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations, while maintaining exacting standards of product quality. The position involves process development, equipment optimization, troubleshooting, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Evaluate current manufacturing processes (equipment, procedures, team skills) and process data for adequacy, accuracy, quality, trends, throughput, and efficiency.
- Analyze process data and equipment performance for characterization and identification of opportunities for improvements in equipment, procedures, and training.
- Improve process data quality, accessibility, and usability, by adding or improving measurement sensors, software changes or reporting formats.
- Improve process performance by recommending, developing, implementing, and monitoring hardware, software or procedural changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
- Together with Quality, Health and Safety department, develop and implement safety protocols and training programs for the production team.
- Monitor environmental impact and work towards sustainable manufacturing practices.
- Maintain detailed records of process parameters, equipment maintenance, and production data.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates to management on production performance and project status.
