Landscape Crew

Location: Farmington Hills, MI

Position Summary:

Under the guidance of our Operations Manager and Crew Lead, responsible for cultivating and caring for the grounds surrounding businesses and buildings. The role will include various landscaping and ground care functions such as mowing, trimming, pruning, and bed care. The Landscape Crew  is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of landscaped beds and the thoroughness of lawn services delivered. Paying attention to the detail of the landscaped areas, will be responsible for final inspection of multiple job sites and completion. 

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Maintain neat and organized housekeeping standards on the job, in company vehicles, lockers and assigned field areas.
• Adhere to company dress standards and represent the company with a high degree of professionalism.
• Operate ground maintenance equipment such as power or riding lawn-mower, string trimmer, edger, etc.
•  Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.
• Remove weeds and dead plants and prune overgrown limbs and leaves.
• Use leaf blower to clear walkways and pedestrian areas after lawn maintenance.
• Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, or other ground features.
• Properly store and handle all equipment, tools, gear, etc.
• Report all site issues to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.

Education, Experience and Skills Required

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Previous landscaping and lawn care experience preferred, but not necessary
• Ability to follow directions and be a productive part of a small crew
• Knowledge of basic outdoor/lawn equipment

Physical Demand Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, squat, and lift for long periods of time
• Ability to work in all type of weather conditions
