What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infusion Nurse PRN position at ContinuumRx?
ContinuumRx, a full service infusion pharmacy servicing Birmingham, Alabama and the surrounding area is now in search of experienced infusion nurse (PRN ) to care for our patients receiving IV therapy in our infusion suite.
We require 5 years experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting. Previous infusion experience is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Uses the nursing process to care for and/or educate individuals in the promotion and maintenance of health.
- Uses systematic critical-thinking to guide data gathering, assessment, nursing judgment.
- Responsible for coordinating and managing aspects of infusion nursing care as ordered by the physician.
- Delivers care in collaboration with the patient, their family and all members of the health care team.
- Submits required documentation of care within required time frame including initial assessments, visit encounters, patient education.
- Participates in interdisciplinary collaboration and communicates urgent clinical findings in a timely manner.
- Maintains annual competencies
- Maintains privacy, security and confidentiality of patient, staff and organizational data
- Fosters a non-discriminatory work environment in which care and services are delivered in a sociocultural sensitive manner.
- Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision, while demonstrating strong work ethics to meet goals and provide stellar customer service to patients.
- Travel to assigned territory as needed with willing flexibility to meet patient needs.
- Availability for assisting with On-Call responsibilities, as needed. ("Taking Call/Being On-Call")
- Display neat, clean, professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
