Job Summary
Contour Airlines is seeking an Application Programming Interface (API) Specialist to develop and manage integrations across various departments and software platforms. This role will bridge cloud-based and legacy systems, ensuring seamless data exchange between accounting, finance, operations, human resources, maintenance, flight scheduling, reservations, and more. The ideal candidate will improve automation, enhance reporting accuracy, and optimize system interoperability while ensuring compliance with industry security and regulatory standards.
Summary of Essential Duties
- Design, implement, and maintain integrations between disparate systems, enabling real-time and reliable data flow.
- Work closely with IT teams and stakeholders across all departments to develop and implement integrated solutions.
- Ensure security, authentication, and compliance standards are met when connecting systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data exchange issues, optimizing performance and reliability, and ensuring accuracy and viability of results.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automated solutions, system integrations, and workflows.
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies and best practices for integrating modern cloud-based applications with legacy infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and training to teams utilizing integrated systems.
- Ensure compliance with CISA, TSA, and NIST security frameworks for aviation technology and cybersecurity standards.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
- Be at least 23 years of age.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience developing and managing enterprise-level system integrations across multiple platforms.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial systems, including SAGE ERP solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# for integration development.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, database management, and SQL queries.
- Familiarity with both cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.) and on-premises legacy systems.
- Knowledge of CISA, TSA, and NIST compliance standards for aviation and critical infrastructure cybersecurity.
- Must have a valid driver license and good driving record.
- Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
- Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and related software.
- Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.
- Must understand, read, and write English.
