Job Description:
At Contour Mining, we are seeking an experienced Heavy Haul Truck Driver to join our team. This is a full-time position that requires the driver to safely and efficiently load and unload materials and equipment, adhering to all company policies, DOT and MSHA regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading heavy equipment
- Performing daily safety and maintenance checks in accordance with DOT and Company standards
- Clean and maintain truck's equipment and supplies
- Practice workplace safety
Requirements:
- Must have Class A CDL
- At least 3 years of experience handling heavy haul up to 80Tons gross weight
- Ability to self-permit or willingness to learn
- Load securement training
Skills:
- Ability to operate and inspect tractors and trailers in accordance with DOT regulations
- Ability to drive in a safe and responsible manner
- Knowledge of or adept at learning the basic operation of a wide variety of equipment in order to load and transport them safely
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Decision making skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to read and write to record and maintain daily records
- Time management skills
Physical Demands:
- The driver will have to work in all weather conditions and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold.
- The driver must ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way.
- Candidate must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
Estimated Salary:$70,000 - $90,000 per year based on experience and location.
